Good times.

I guess i haven't really done a real post lately... and i'm not sure this one will count as one either, but whatever. I do what i can. :) And just so you know, some of these things actually aren't what they sound like. Seriously.

In the past 24 hours i have:
--Gotten sick of the words "Oh my gosh, i LOVE this song! Turn it up!"
--Repped King Tom of Kanab.
--Helped 3 guys pick out make-up at Wal Mart.
--Seen and high-fived Hitler in aisle 7 at Wal Mart.
--Nicknamed someone "Wal Mart". (These last three were last night, by the way. haha)
--Frozen my toes off.
--Ordered and drank a Strawberry Margarita.
--Became family with the football cheerleaders.
--Invented 2 new school clubs.
--Been a-flutter.
--Slept until 3:40 in the afternoon.
--Raided a grocery store with the football team and the cheerleaders.
--Decided who i am going to marry.
--Craved peanut butter and birthday cake. (NOT at the same time.)
--Laughed until i literally thought i was going to puke.
--Smiled like an insane person.

Needless to say... yesterday was a good day. Here's some photographs i'd like to share with you. :)

The cheer section: Misty, Calli, me, Ashley, Chelsea, Savy, and Carley... i have no clue what she's doing. haha

Recreating a reaction to a touchdown. Seems like Carley is always the random oddball... haha

Thanks for tuning in, folks!

P.S. We beat Enterprise 28-0, in case you were interested. :)

Just so you can smile.

Favorite quotes of the day:

--"That one song from 'Wicked' is really sad... you know, the one with Glinda and Bath Sheba?" and "'Defying Gravity' is too a sad song. She doesn't want to fly, she wants to be normal!" -- Rhees Jackson, in defense of all country songs after the accusation that they are all sad. Maybe the second one is one of those "you had to be there" things, but you have to admit... the first one is dang funny. (He meant Elpheba)

--"Wow... that was like a combination of... of... Fergie and Jesus!" -- Matt Johnson after tryouts for a solo in "Newsies."

--"I know! We're learning about filthy parables!" -- Ben Cserepes in seminary... awkward, i know.

--"I don't wanna do that none more!" -- Erica Soderquist

Long day. I left my flash drive at school, which holds a paper for Sociology that i'd spent a total of 7-8 hours after school today and yesterday trying desperately to finish by tomorrow, because if i got it turned in by tomorrow, i'd get 25 bonus points.

I guess that means no extra credit for Jennifer. :(

P.S. and i somehow ended up joining FFA today... ?!?!

Today

I smashed a freshman in the face with a steel door. On accident, just so you know.

After only a few words from me, the conversation that had started with the event of me almost breaking his nose ended with him saying "You're right, Jennifer... i'm sorry." His friend Branson that was standing there just stared like he couldn't believe what just went down.

I don't know if it's a girl thing or a Jennifer thing that i made him apologize for what i did, but that was amazing.

Homecoming Week!

Sorry for the delay, but i haven't really had the time (or motivation) to do any new posts.

To pick up where i left off, i'll tell you about how i answered Matt to homecoming. On Monday morning, i left my house like a half hour early for school so i could pick up Ashley and head to school. The plan was for me to write a poem on his assigned parking spot with sidewalk chalk before he got to school, but i'd forgotten that he has a 7 a.m. ASL class and had been there for a half hour before i got there. so what ended up happening was that we waited until lunchtime when he left, and we did it. but i was in such a hurry to do it before he left that i forgot to take pictures... oops, sorry.

In other news, i'll tell you more about Homecoming Week. Monday was Blast From the Past, Tuesday was Superhero Day, Wednesday was Old Timer's Day (probably a total of like 10 people dressed up for this, most of them were freshmen), Thursday was Cowboy Day, and Friday was Red & White Day. To be honest, i didn't really go all out on anything except for maybe Superhero Day. I only took pictures for one day, unfortunately, and it was Blast From the Past. It wasn't even that sweet, either. haha

On Thursday, we had our skit. Ever since freshman year, my class has had the sweetest skit of all the other classes! And that includes this year. We sooo won, mostly in gore and laughs. Me and three other girls wore some jerseys that belong to some juniors on the varsity team. I was Craig Brinkerhoff #7, Ashley was Dustin Reidhead #30, Savy was Justin Orton #22, and Carley was Dason Ott #51. It was sooo much fun! The basic idea was that we were having a blood drive for the Rich Rebels because they "lost so much blood" in the homecoming game. And FYI, Rich was the team we beat at State last year, so they were pretty riled up. Anyways, the skit was soooo funny that when me, Ashley, Savy, and Carley were "taking a knee" for the players, i laughed so hard i fell over on Ashley like twice, and all four of us were crying. Like, a lot. But of course the seniors won, because they're seniors and it doesn't matter how lame the actual skit is!

On to Friday night. That was probably the most intense football game i have ever been to in my life. Rich was ahead until the last half of the fourth quarter, when we scored and were ahead by 4 points. I'm not kidding, they came sooooo close to scoring every time they made a play. Me and a bunch of other girls in my grade all borrowed the white away jerseys from our friends and stood on the fence to cheer the entire game. It was sweet! So at the end when it was getting all intense, it was complete insanity. I was screaming sooo loud and i was just about shaking.

Me and my tasty football ring-pop thing. And Chelsea doing... wow i don't even know what.

Me wearing Rhees Jackson's jersey after the game... that we WON!

Pretty much the second the game got over, Ashley hauled me to the truck so we could beat the traffic out of the parking lot to her house to get ready for the dance... if that made any sense. For some reason, the dance was on the same night as the game. I guess that's how it used to be, and that's how most schools do it, but we usually have it on Saturday night which is WAYYY better. To skip all the boring details about me getting ready and all the pictures that were taken, my date Matt finally picked me up at Ash's house. Then we went to the dance which was pretty fun. Except that Matt was so tall that every time i danced with him, i got a knot in the muscle in my arm. And we got pictures taken by Matt Brown, who is the employer of my date, so we got an employee discount. As in, we got one of just us and one of us with Ashley & her date Dustin, and my friend Megan and her date Aaron for the price of one. Anyways, after the dance was over (at like almost midnight. It was supposed to start at 9:30, but that's when the game got over.), Matt took me to this kid Blaine's house for ice cream with a bunch of other people. Then i went home, and struggled to stay awake. I didn't get home until 1:30!

Me and my cute date Matt!

P.S. At the dance, the school councelor Mr. Stewart came up to me and the group of people i was with and said "Guys, thanks for wearing ties. You look really spiffy. And ladies... well, you all get gold stars for being modest. Thans so much, you really make it more of a special night." I felt so special!

Story!

alright. so you may or may not know, but i've been kind of worried lately because homecoming is next week and i wanted to go, but did NOT want to go without a date. well today, those worries went away, because i have a date! and believe it or not, this will only be my second date since i turned 16. the first one was with my best friend, and we went so we could get out of playing in the pep band at a basketball game. haha

well i'm thinkin you might want to know who and how he asked me... even if you don't, i'm going to write about it anyways. :) i could tell you all the details leading up to it, like how when i asked my best friend/lunch buddy Ashley where she wanted to go for lunch she said the middle school (even though she NEVER wants to go there) and when i asked if she said drive or walk, she said "walk." very purposefully. i could also tell you about how Ashley has been whispering not-very-discreetly with this girl Sara Carling who is this guy's best friend the last few days and wouldn't tell me about what even though we tell each other everything.

but i won't tell you all that. i'll just tell you how he asked me! so ashley and i were just walking around the inside of the school during the lunch period (we'd already been to the middle school and back... ha.) when we ran into this freshman girl that's on the volleyball team with Ashley. after talking for a minute, Josie (before mentioned freshman girl) turned to me and said "Hey Jennifer, i think something happened to your car..." Ashley's eyes got huge and went "JOSIE! You weren't supposed to say anything! Crap!" so obviously, i'm bookin it for the back door to where my (well... mom's) car was parked. unfortunately, i forgot that Ashley is slightly faster and much, much stronger than me. so she put me in a chokehold and wrestled me to the floor (this is in the front lobby of the school, by the way. meaning... we had an audience.) until i promised i would stay inside until she could at least check and make sure it was done. she left and after a minute or two, came back and told me the coast was clear. what i found was like 20 or so red and white balloons taped all over my vehicle, and this sign on the driver's side window:

There was a safety pin under that tape, but it was in use when this picture was taken.

And when it says "Hint: Eat the candy!" it's referring to the Tootsie Rolls and things of Smarties that were in every balloon. it took a while for me to pop all the balloons (Ashley assisted me by at least taking the balloons off the car so i wouldn't have tape and rubber all over it), and then i collected all the candies and headed for the tables in the library. there, i had like 3 other people helping me unwrap all of them... i have no idea why it was so hard for me to figure out what i was looking for, though. because in one of the Smarties wrappers, there was a tiny piece of paper wrapped around the candies. i was like... wow, how did i not see that? anyways, here's what the paper said:

so that's basically it. i have to figure out a way to say yes to him in a cute way, though. i have a good idea, but i'm not going to put it on here because well the internet is a tricky place! haha i'll update you sometime next week, though... or whenever i get around to it.

Me popping my surprises.

As a couple side notes, Josie has been apologizing nonstop every time she sees me and/or Ashley all day for spoiling the surprise. i told her i was going to find out eventually, and not to worry. Also, Todd claims he needs to interview this kid. HA right. like i'm going to bring my date anywhere near my family! ;) haha just kidding just kidding...

First Day of School... again.

yep i'm a junior, officially. so far, i like it WAY better than being an underclassman. but it is getting to be kind of a pain in the butt when i leave a class and automatically head towards where my locker USED to be. now it's in a compltely different part of the school! plus, my classes are weird...

1st: U.S. History -- Mr. Fox
2nd: i'll explain in a bit.
3rd: Seminary -- Brother Jenson slash Brother Seminary slash Bro. J
4th: English -- Mr. Luce (whoo!)
5th: X-Press -- Mrs. Terry
6th: Personal Finance Literacy -- Mr. Glover
7th: Earth Systems -- Mrs. Smith

okay so for 2nd hour, i dont technically have a class scheduled. but i do have an EdNet class (Sociology 1010) which goes from 9:00 to 9:50. in other words, it basically takes up the same time frame as 2nd period. but the class only happens on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays which leaves Tuesdays and Thursdays open! yeah yeah i was excited for it too (first thing that came to mind was "yes! i can go somewhere for breakfast after 1st hour!"), but there's this thing called like Electronic High School that i have to do in order to get my Health credit. i guess it lets you kind of take a class at your own pace, so i could do it for an hour on tuesdays and thursdays, or even weekends if i was bored enough.

in case you were wondering why i was so happy about my english class, it's because mr. luce is my favorite teacher EVER. he was my freshman english teacher, and we were the first batch of freshman he'd ever taught. and now we're juniors, and this is his first year teaching LA 11... and guess what? my class is the only one he teaches. so we're like his guinea pig class!

my "Personal Finance" class or whatever is interesting... mr. glover mentioned SEVERAL times to me today that i should really be taking pre calculus instead, because that's more like what college would be like. but you know what? i'd rather know about life insurance and interest rates etc. for AFTER college life. i might take pre cal next year, but who knows? we'll see how that goes... i like the people in there, though. i'm really excited, i'm hoping it will be a decent class! oh and my science class? earth systems is what you're supposed to take as a freshman. so the whole class is full of 9th graders except for me, another girl, and two boys that are all juniors. this should be an adventure.

as for my adventures AFTER school, ashley and i went to lotsa motsa for lunch (it was a half day, so we got out at like 12:25), then i had to take her home. so then i swung by Honey's Jubilee. i went in for a VitaminWater, came out with a job. :( i don't know if i've said this or not, but i really really really don't want to work there! i have no idea why... i was talking to mom about it and figured maybe it's because i don't like how impersonal it is. with my job at Linda Lea's, i knew that if i struggled with something or got in trouble, i could just go to my boss who was my friend. but at Honey's since it's a grocery store, i don't even know who's technically hiring me, you know? i have no idea if this is making any sense.

i have yet to go to the pharmacy and tell them why i'm not working for them anymore...

okay well i think i might be done. i have more stuff that i could say, but i'm kind of tired of this. haha ♥

Class of 2010 baby!!

No, i didn't tag that. But it's sweet huh?

P.S. this year is going to kick my emotional butt without nikiah here... it's like, i'll see a girl walkin down the hall who looks like her from the back and i'll be ALL excited, then i have to remember where she really is... :(
